Today, many venues provide a sound system but expect musicians to operate it themselves. Singer-songwriters and small bands are often handed a mixer, a microphone, and a pair of speakers with little or no instruction, then expected to produce a professional-quality sound.

Live Sound Fundamentals for Musicians is a hands-on course designed to bridge that gap. Whether you’re a singer songwriter, solo performer, duo, or member of a band, the objective is to  gain a practical understanding of the equipment, techniques, and principles that shape every live performance.

Every musician spends years learning to play an instrument, but very few ever learn how live sound actually works. The result? Feedback, muddy vocals, poor monitor mixes, frustrating soundchecks, and performances that never reach their full potential.

The course is taught by singacoustic owner and founder, Hani Gadallah, a touring sound engineer with more than 35 years of professional experience and over 20 years as course director, teaching live sound reinforcement courses.

Bring Your Instrument!

This is a hands-on course, and you’re encouraged to bring your instrument to class. Whether you’re a vocalist, guitarist, bassist, keyboard player, drummer, or play a stringed, brass, or woodwind instrument, you’ll have opportunities to work with microphones, DI boxes, monitors, and the sound system in a real-world setting.

By working with your own instrument in a live sound environment, you’ll leave with practical skills and the confidence to perform on virtually any stage.

Enrollment is limited to 8 students to ensure every student receives hands-on experience with the equipment.

Singacoustic offer two workshops:

  1. Two hours hands on. $60
  2. Four Hours light course. One hour lecture, three hours hands on. $120
