Swade Trio is a Portland-based powerhouse blending the heart of gospel, the sophistication of jazz and the timeless grooves of soul, funk and R&B. The group is led by Berklee-trained keyboardist Stacey Wade, an accomplished musician whose career includes performing with legendary soul singer Al Green and serving as musical director for the Grammy-winning ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock.

Joined by Benjamin Wright on bass and Walter Dean IV on drums, Wade leads a remarkably tight and expressive trio that moves effortlessly between classic favorites, imaginative arrangements and original compositions. With commanding musicianship, deep rhythmic chemistry and an infectious sense of groove, Swade Trio delivers a polished live experience that is soulful, energetic and unmistakably their own.
