The Singacoustic Sessions
Welcome to Singacoustic Sessions
We’re glad you’re here.
For three days, Singacoustic becomes a gathering place for songwriters, listeners, and the creative community. The Singacoustic Sessions celebrates the art of songwriting in its most personal form—songs shared in listening-room silence, stories told from the stage, and unexpected moments of connection that only happen live.
The sessions feature solo performances alongside special In The Round sessions hosted by Andras Jones, creator of Radio8Ball. Drawing from his unique gift for conversation, synchronicity, and musical dialogue, these hosted sessions invite artists to trade songs, reveal the stories behind them, and engage in the kind of spontaneous exchanges that turn a concert into an experience.
Rooted in the spirit of independent music and artist support, the festival honors the creators, fosters community, and offers listeners a deeper connection to the craft.
It’s about bringing people into the music, not just playing in the background.
If you’re an artist who values thoughtful performances, strong songwriting, and being part of something bigger than a single set, we’d love to hear from you.
Singacoustic Sessions Artist Participation Guidelines
The Singacoustic Sessions are curated for artists whose performances support an intimate, songwriter-centered listening-room experience.
Performance Format
Acoustic Only
Performances must be presented in an acoustic format. No drums, full percussion setups, or amplified backline are permitted.
Minimal Reinforcement
Electronic enhancement, looping, backing tracks, or effect-driven performances are not part of the Sessions format.
Small Ensemble Configuration
Performing groups may include no more than four musicians.
Musical Content
Original Work is Primary
Sets should consist predominantly of original material. Select cover songs may be included when they complement the artist’s work.
Song-Centered Arrangements
Material should prioritize songwriting, dynamics, and musical interplay over volume or production.
Artistic Fit
Programming generally favors artists working in acoustic, folk, roots, Americana, singer-songwriter, and related traditions.
The Sessions are not designed for:
- Full bands or drum-driven acts
- Percussion-heavy performances
- Loop-based solo performances
- Highly produced or effect-dependent sets
- Performances that rely on volume over intimacy
Collaborative Format
Artists participating in songwriter rounds should be prepared to share songs, stories, and collaborative exchange in a hosted round setting.
Hosted Sessions may include special rounds led by Andras Jones.
Curatorial Discretion
Final programming and artist selection remain at the discretion of Singacoustic.
