KC Craine is a Portland-based fingerstyle guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer known for his literate and soul-stirring acoustic music. A finalist in the 2019 Great American Song Contest, Craine’s career spans decades, beginning in the 1980s San Francisco scene where he led KC Craine and the Conditions and shared stages with legends like Huey Lewis and the News and Jefferson Starship. His compositions have been featured in national film and television, including the series Smallville.

Tin Compass is Craine’s premier Portland ensemble, specializing in what they call “True Northwest Roots.”The band blends heartfelt storytelling with a vintage-inspired sound that pulls from folk, country, and soul.
